Girls' Dormitory for Lochoredome

In the remote community of Lochoredome in northern Kenya, many girls face serious barriers to staying in school. Long, unsafe journeys and harmful cultural practices, including early marriage, often cut education short and limit what girls are able to hope for or become.

Since 2021, Missions of Hope International (MOHI) has served this community through a growing school that now enrolls more than 500 students, nearly half of them girls. While the school provides quality education, medical care, psychosocial support, and spiritual formation, the lack of safe housing remains a critical gap.

MOHI is building a Girls’ Dormitory at the Lochoredome Center to provide a safe, stable, and Christ-centered home where girls can live, learn, and grow. This secure environment will protect girls from daily risks, keep them in school, and surround them with consistent care, mentorship, and discipleship.
