Medical Care for Lochoredome

The Lochoredome community, located in the heart of Turkana County, faces some of the most severe health challenges in Kenya.

With a malnutrition rate of 30.6% and over 23% of children suffering from stunted growth, this community is in desperate need of support. Years of droughts, food shortages, and widespread poverty have compounded the issue, leaving families with limited access to proper healthcare services.

Currently, the nearest medical facility is over 70 kilometers away—and even that facility is under-resourced and is unable to meet the growing needs of Lochoredome’s population.

But together, we can change this. Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is committed to transforming healthcare in Lochoredome by building a modern medical facility that will provide essential care and give this community the opportunity to thrive.
